OFT decision on Visa welcome, says Norman Lamb

Commenting on the OFT's announcement of its provisional case against Visa regarding their interchange fee,, Norman Lamb said:

"We welcome the Office of Fair Trading's statement of their findings on the interchange fees charged by Visa. There has been serious concern for a long time that consumers have been bearing the brunt of these hidden costs. We hope that this will bring about a better deal for the consumer."
